A university’s nursing program needed to showcase a large amount of data related to new nursing standards, called NCLEX (National Council Licensure Examination), that would be used to license nurses. Patriot Data Graphics (PDG) team members were tasked with creating a solution that presented this complex information in a digestible and engaging way. PDG team members designed an interactive dashboard that allowed viewers to explore the data through clickable elements, providing a clear and structured presentation and way to sort through large amounts of data.

AT A GLANCE

CUSTOMER CHALLENGES

  • Presenting a large, complex dataset in a digestible way

  • Needing a reliable team with expertise in both design and interactive programming

  • Condensing a vast amount of information without losing key data points

HOW PDG HELPED

  • Improved communication and understanding of complex data through interactive visuals

  • Efficient presentation of information, allowing users to explore specific areas in detail

  • Award-winning work that was highly praised by the client and stakeholders

OBJECTIVES

The primary goal was to present a substantial amount of new information in a way that could be easily understood by the university’s Board of Directors and stakeholders. The client wanted to ensure that the data was organized and visually engaging, offering a clear path for users to dive deeper into specific areas of interest.

SOLUTION

PDG team members thoroughly reviewed the data and broke it down into manageable sections. Instead of relying on a static infographic, we pitched the idea of an interactive dashboard, which allowed users to engage with the content through clickable objects. This approach made the extensive dataset more digestible and user-friendly. Using Storyline 360, we designed and programmed the interactive experience, ensuring that each section of the dashboard had a unique, intuitive look.

BENEFITS

The interactive dashboard provided a highly engaging way for the Board of Directors and university stakeholders to interact with the data. It allowed them to better understand the new system of boards and exams without being overwhelmed by the volume of information. The project was so well received that team members earned an award from the corporate network of universities team for the quality of the work.
